Earth got all used up so a bunch of people left and went to the stars. They found a new place to live with almost habitable planets and moons. The inner most planets got terraformed first, the outer planets not so much. Life started again on a hundred different worlds. Some folks were happy with their life, others less so. After a while those not happy rose up and started a war. The inner planets, called the Alliance, took that as a sign of rebellion and crushed the uprising. Those that fought on one side or the other now live in peace. There's still work to be found if you're willing to take risks, money to be made if you can handle the pressure, and fame to be found if you can live long enough to earn it. It just takes a little time, a little skill, and a lot of luck. This is the story of a ship Commander, a ship, and a mission.
