The D.O.A. series should be read in standalone, but you really should read them in order to understand the characters. Rylee had no idea where his life was going. He had a job he hated, a mate that wouldn't make the move to claim him, a dragon that seemed to dislike him immensely, and his brothers were so busy with their own mates he had no one to talk to about any of it. Instead, Rylee made some hard decisions on his own. One of which could cause him to lose everyone he holds dear...including his own life. Taj had no idea what was going to become of his mate and himself.
