“Who’s on First?” Abbott and Costello

Position Player First base Who Second base What Third base I Don't Know Leftfield Why Centerfield Because Pitcher Tomorrow Catcher Today Shortstop I Don't Care or I Don’t Give a Darn Whatever series you buy, it is not enough. Prepare to binge. First Doctor – William Hartnell (1963–1966) Second Doctor – Patrick Troughton (1966–1969) Third Doctor – Jon Pertwee (1970–1974) Fourth Doctor – Tom Baker (1974–1981) Fifth Doctor – Peter Davison (1982–1984) Sixth Doctor – Colin Baker (1984–1986) Seventh Doctor – Sylvester McCoy (1987–1989) Eighth Doctor – Paul McGann starred in a one-off film, later expanded through audio dramas and mini-episodes. Ninth Doctor – Christopher Eccleston (Series 1, 2005) Tenth Doctor – David Tennant (Series 2–4, 2006–2010) Eleventh Doctor – Matt Smith (Series 5–7, 2010–2013) Twelfth Doctor – Peter Capaldi (Series 8–10, 2014–2017) Thirteenth Doctor – Jodie Whittaker (Series 11–13, 2018–2022) Fourteenth Doctor – David Tennant again (2023 specials) Fifteenth Doctor – Ncuti Gatwa (Series 1–2 of the new numbering, 2024–2025) I doubt that this will ever end. Of course, everyone will have a favorite Dr. But it is still worth comparing to the others. Each Doctor Who follows the standard formula of all the previous Dr. Whos. We see many old and new enemies and have to get out of many sticky situations, usually in 50 minutes. Of course, everyone knows the story, yet just in case there is the odd newbie, Dr. Who is the last of the Time Lords; he can and does go anywhere and anytime. He is usually accompanied by a tasty sidekick. There is no inter-species romance as they are too busy fighting the guys in the black hats. You will find it fun to binge on the series; you will also find yourself kibitzing. Then double back for the Five Doctors. You may have to buy some DVDs that overlap, but it is worth it.
