Doyle Dalton's Diary: A Jamie Poole Book

Doyle Dalton wrote a diary. Two in fact. Jamie Poole and her friends have puzzled over the second diary and secrets written in an unknown language. Dalton's family considered him nothing but a liar who spent World War I plundering stolen treasure rather than protecting the men serving under him.

What you think you know of Doyle Dalton is nothing but a smokescreen hiding secrets hidden behind more secrets. Who was he? What had he to hide? One truth has already been revealed: he traveled in Time and found Jamie Poole. This second diary he wrote directly to her. He confesses the truth of how he found the alabaster statue of Eliyana and much more. He warns Jamie:

Time is short. I emphasized that at the beginning of this sordid tale. I scribble furiously fast as I try to bring this diary-a confession rather-to some kind of conclusion. My chair is broad and comfortable, but I cannot sit comfortably. Not for a moment.

I need your help. My future family depends upon it. I have met more future family than you may as yet realize. It is essential that all of them remain free of danger. Do you get my meaning here? I have unleashed a curse with an obsidian heart, much like what beats in our mutual friend's chest. I believe him to be human, but only just. He comprehends no boundaries. Even you-especially you-are also in danger.

When it comes down to it, it matters not how my family regards me. Liar or saint. I am both. See here I write my admission in the cryptic language that is Arabic and not Arabic. You and your archaic friends will design it with me watching. Only we can read it I plan to place this diary with the original so that both are found by my future family. They will find you, and you will translate it. You will know what to do.

Will Jamie know what to do? And if she does, will she be able to stop Tristan, the mutual friend who is rewriting Time?
