Between 2001 and 2008, I kept going back to the same Downtown Orlando spots with a camera in hand.
Alpha Bar.
Bodhisattva.
Barbarella.
Knock Knock.
And the city's Halloween nights.
These weren't the only clubs in Orlando - they were simply the places I returned to. The rooms where I stood close to the stage. The dance floors I moved through. The corners where moments unfolded in front of me.
There are no captions and no explanations. The images are presented as they were experienced - direct, immediate, and unpolished.
This is not a complete history of Downtown Orlando nightlife. It is one photographer's record of the places he frequented and the people who passed through them.
Those rooms changed.
Some disappeared.
The time moved on.
The photographs remain.
