Excellent beginner book

There are pictures of the finished items at the beginning of the book. There are wonderful tutorials for beginners and I would highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who wants to either get started with knitting or if you want to get them interested. What I like most about the book is there is just more than scarves in it, you have easy to do hats, fingerless gloves, a striped top, and even a dress. None of the patterns are very difficult but again this would really help a new knitter realize how far you can really take your new hobby.
