Varnie is flying her first cross country flight over the Alaskan country side with passengers. The kids Holly, Lance, and Sandy were headed to the family lodge on the Dangerous River. Not knowing that and old enemy of Bill's had sabotaged his Maule Airplane so that it would quite running and he would be way off course when he crashed. Unfortunately Bill was not flying his plane. Varnie and the kids were by themselves. This was not the first time they had been all alone. But as they went down they hoped that it would turn out like the last time they had to take care of themselves.
