Dough cats: Feline characters made from modeling material

Dough cats is a combination picture book and comic book, depicting a series of original characters. Each cat is made either from Play-Doh or baker's clay. Baker's clay is a mixture of flour, salt and water. Baker's clay itself is a popular and economical form of modeling material. In some grade schools, teachers may encourage their students to work with baker's clay in addition to or as a substitute for kiln firing clay. The cats in Dough cats are engaged in a variety of activities. The characters' names are descriptive, as well as being plays on words. The tone of the book is intended to be humorous. The book itself may appeal to children between the ages of seven and eleven, as well as older children and adults.
