Doug is a high school student who is his own person. He never followed the crowd, no matter how often he was bullied and called names. Doug came from strong stock. His father was the president of a corporation and his grandfather ran the largest retail market in their small upstate New York town. He and his siblings had a solid foundation and were taught that hard work and honesty eventually win over deceit. But Doug was on the horns of a dilemma, he felt that school elections were too political and only the popular kids, or kids who offered perks, such as parties, giving out gift cards, and other things kids like, won the day. Doug's only friend felt Doug would make a great president, but Doug believed he didn't have a chance. With his family's support and his friend's prompting, Doug runs for office. What happens is short of a miracle.
