Not 10, but 20 fingers and 20 toes The classic guide to parenting twins-now completely updated and revised You're excited to hear your baby's heartbeat during the ultrasound. But what happens when you... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Best twin book out there by far, except for one thing.... it hasn't been updated in almost 10 years! Their tips are great, but their price estimates are way off... Other than price estimates though, the book is still very practical and gives perspectives of those who have raised kids through adult-hood, not just still in the middle of it. i like the fact she talks about birthdays and presents at the holidays and other things you wonder about. Overall, great general guide with helpful hints.
A good quick glide over a large territory.

If you are expecting twins and only can choose or take the time to read one book, this is the one to buy. As we have a pair on the way, (at a rather late time in life for me, I already have three adult children), I am keenly interested in what is in store for my wife and me in the months ahead. Having now read several books about twins, I would say that Baglivi-Tinglof's "Double Duty" is perhaps the most readable, if not the most in depth, review of events to come. She clearly sets forth what to expect in the pregnancy stage, what to do in preparation, and perhaps just as valuable, what you don't need to concern yourself with on hearing about the upcoming 'doubly blessed event(s)'. She doesn't stop there but also provides a succinct summary of what to expect in the next phases of their lives. You won't regret the practical and straightforward information this book provides. It is also performs another valuable service: calming the expectant parents. So much on the internet focuses on the challenges and potential complications of the twin experience, this balanced view is very refreshing.
Fabulous Book!

I am a soon-to-be mother of twins and like everyone else went out bought a bunch of books, I was reading 4 at once. But with this book I read it cover to cover in two weeks(I also have two small boys, so I could only read in the evenings) I was more impressed with this book then all the others. It seemed to have more useful information in addition to personal stories, I found it to be pretty amusing and very helpful.
Easy to understand

The writer is a mother of twins also, very experienced.Personally, I think this book explained everything I need to know in a very simple way, very easy to understand, from expecting to parenting.
The best collection of how-to's and know-how's for twins!

Ms. Tinglof does what no other book about twins has done: not only is her information current, accurate, and informative - but she uses personal stories from other parents of twins. Other books provide "their way" of handling the difficult (but wonderful) experience of twins, but "Double Duty" shows its readers how real families (who have read ALL the books and have years of experience) with twins (from newborns to teenagers) have been able to find their own ways of dealing with their special circumstances. No other book goes into such problems as child care, shopping, and traveling alone with twins as this book does. The book is also short, sweet, and to the point. If you have already read the other books and still need need help...this book is a godsend!!!
