Trey Blake is on a hunting trip in his own backyard. That is, the three million acre designated Wilderness area that borders the Dagger Ranch deeded land. You can get lost out there and never be found. Families have waited years for news of relatives lost in this Wilderness. One such event was the loss of a private airplane owned by the Ranch's absentee owners. Now, weather, erosion, and decay of downed timber combines to reveal the crash site. Trey finds it. It is hard to know how a story gets it's start but the plane has long been rumored to carry Drug Cartel money and lots of it. Trey knows the rumor as well as anyone and he is alone out there with "nobody to ask permission from and nobody to deny it." He is going into that plane to find out for himself. This is the story of the few that know big country and big cow outfits best. The Dagger runs several thousand head of cattle, grazing on four-hundred thousand acres of land. These men are horseman first, cowhands second, hunters seasonally and loyal friends to a fault. With the ranch being sold and broken up for development the certain prospect of un-employment and re-location stares them in the face. Maybe it's time for even an honest Cowhand to take a chance on the Devil's luck and roll the dice. Are you lucky, are you ready for your destiny. Most men have never been either. Many men face a ride off into the sunset because it's their only way home. But there is a time in every man's life when he has an opportunity to cross his own personal "Rubicon." If you know you are ready you should never hesitate, once you start you can't go back, and when you are challenged, and you will be, you can't back down. One thing though, when a Cowboy fancies to take his chances, chances will be taken.
