FINALLY - A FEMALE WHO SHOOTS BACK!

Go Girl. You live up to your profession. Will Shannon is confused and on the run. His employer, Greg Vincent, whom he did like, was shot with Will's own gun. The police showed up a little too conveniently fast. In his confusion he heads for his former partner and lover, Caitlyn Malone who offers to doctor his creased arm. No Doctors or hospitals, they just report you. He needed sleep in order to see straight, Cait didn't object, he looked so vulnerable asleep. Something just didn't smell right as she passed through one room. Then someone smothered her mouth and nose. Finally she sensed the danger when a knife touched her throat. To make a bit of a tale short, Will came out shooting [after a pause to locate Cait], two more dead bodies in the line-up. He grabbed Cait and was on the run again. Quite a neat little tale in the finding of his waiter, Cait suspected that the man drugged Will. Whoops, another body to add to the list. Cait wondered if Will should turn himself in. Will was determined to contact Paul Fisk, a lawyer friend to get help. He took Cait to Fisk's folks summer house to hide out. No one should bother her there. He then agreed to turn himself in. Yeah! right, someone had other ideas. Sniper! Wow, did he blow out of there. Meanwhile, back at the house, Paul had sent Douglas Reamer to guard Cait. Seems like Will is headed back to Cait. Cait has an eiry feeling about the noise she heard. She made it to the back door. Add another body to the count. She hides in the bathroom as someone comes in the front door. Wow! add two more to the body count. Hey, that gal can shoot. I leave you to figure out the killers. And the whole story which I admit was had to put down. Cait is emotionally starved and wants Will back. But their secrets haunt them. Fast paced action - great mystery - finally a gal with guts enough to shoot back - Definitely you got to read this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- Only slow spot is where they get down and dirty.

More like four and a half stars

Will Shannon awakes disoriented to find the man he had sworn to guard with his life, shot in the head with Will's own gun. Not remembering anything from the night before and hearing the sound of police siren's quickly approaching the house, Will flees the crime scene knowing that if he stays, he will be charged with a murder he did not commit. The only person he trusts is his former Secret Service partner Cait. She is also his former lover. The two have not spoken in two years after an assasignation plot went horribly askew leaving them both without jobs and blaiming themselves for the consequences. With the gunmen chasing them down and setting the stage to set Will up even further, Will and Cait struggle to unravel the mystery of what really happened that night before and why. But will they have enough time to find the evidence before the killer's catch up to them and will they ever be together again? This was a heart pounding, non stop suspense novel. I was a little disappointed that the story line never hinted much to an alternate scenario, leaving it a little predictable once you start getting into it, but nevertheless, it was a very good read. Is it worth buying? Definitely. A good romantic suspense novel.

Fast paced romantic suspense

Former Secret Service Agent Will Shannon wakes up with a headache and a dead client in the next room. He knows he's got trouble, so he turns to the one person he knows that he can trust, his former lover and partner Caitlyn Malone. Caitlyn has always felt guilty for not standing up for Will when he was used as a Secret Service scapegoat. She's never gotten over her feelings for him either. Caitlyn is determined to do whatever it takes to help keep him from taking the fall for a murder he didn't commit. Now they are on the run together trying to figure out who killed Will's client and tried to frame him. They are also falling in love again. Can they figure out who the killer is before it's too late? Double Blind is a fast-paced romantic suspense that I truly enjoyed. Will and Caitlyn's past relationship adds an emotional depth to the story that had me rooting for them from the start. Add to this a well-developed suspense storyline, and Gayle Wilson delivers a story that is a must read for lovers of romantic suspense. Melissa Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

fast-paced romantic suspense

Bodyguard Will Shannon awakens to find himself with a severe headache, a terrible case of vertigo and on the floor of the living room in his employer's mansion. He has no idea how he got there with his last recollection being at a restaurant while his client drug mogul Greg Vincent dined. He manages to finally get up to go check on Greg who he finds in the man's bed dead, a bullet to his head fired from Will's gun. When he hears a car brake, he realizes the cops have arrived, but wonders who called them. Trying to sneak away to buy time, he is shot in his left arm. Will has no place to go except his former Secret Service partner Caitlyn Monroe, who he loved. She insists he see a doctor and call the police, but he refuses insisting the frame is too perfect. Will believes he must solve the case to prove his innocence; Cait reluctantly agrees to help him even while thinking how their love for one another back when they were teammates cost them both so much professionally and personally. DOUBLE BLIND is an exhilarating continual action thriller that never slows down until the final confrontation as the police and FBI seek Will as their prime suspect while he must elude them to buy time to prove his innocence. Unable to stay out in spite of her hand injury that serves as a memento of her former career, Courageous Cait has to help him, which makes her an accessory. Gayle Wilson provides a fast-paced romantic suspense starring two intrepid but tainted heroes. Harriet Klausner
