Succinct and thorough

Between this little gem and the Exam Cram A+ book you should be able to pass the A+ DOS/Windows exam with flying colors. The book is well-organized, thorough, and relatively error-free. It features frequent summaries and self-tests. The topics are to-the-point and the author generally assumes that the reader is at least capable of turning on a computer and navigate through windows (a reasonable assumption for a book preparing someone for a technical certificate.) It's also reasonably priced compared to many of its competitors.
