"Don't wake the baby spiders" is a children's rhyming picture book. A little girl in the story loves playing outside, but stops when she spots a spider on a plant pot outside where she plays. She is scared of spiders, but as the story continues her fear lessens whilst she watches cute little baby spiders grow through four different seasons. The book culminates with her daddy getting scared of spiders instead, whilst the girl smiles and curiously ponders what the spiders might eat for Christmas dinner.

The book is designed to encourage children to take the first step along the bravery ladder when facing a very common childhood fear of spiders and portraying them as lovable and cuddly, rather than menacing.
