How do I begin to explain this poetry collection? For starters, Nikki Giovanni quickly became a huge influence. I've always seen myself as two things: 1) a sponge that soaks up game from the greats of the past. It's my way of paying homage. 2) A vessel that the universe pours into to relay the messages that needs to be told. This collection is for the people who are rebuilding their self-esteem, their self-worth, and everything in between. It feels like love on a Sunday afternoon.
