Don't Pet the Snakes: A novel of the Vietnam War

By John Michael Whitten

This is the story of a Long Range Recon patrol, deep in the jungles of Vietnam. More that, it is the story of the warriors on this mission, a glimpse into the men who fought this war.

A Long Range Recon Patrol on a single mission and the events that occurred that day, a tale of consequences.

A story of war, of friendship, of the bonds forged by death and dying. It is a look at the perspectives and experiences of these warriors as they struggled to survive yet another war zone mission. But more, it is also a tale of consquences. What happens when these men return from the War? What are their lives like and how have they been changed by war?
