Don't Feed the Dragon

My order was delivered much sooner than I expected, in like new condition. This is a terrific book. What a simple, clever approach to training children. Easy to apply, and quick results if you are consistant. I highly recommend it. Children really hate boredom. The techniques recommended in the book allow you to use this to your advantage.Children decide their own length of boring time (consequences)according to their initial cooperation to the dicipline time required. Non-cooperation increases time. The author says, "When it costs too much, the child will change his/her behavior." Many issues are addressed, including bedtime, back talk, communicating, promptness, eating out, tatling, swearing and many others. I especially appreciate Sandy McDaniel's words in her introduction,"Take what works for you, embrace those ideas, and with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away." Also, "The value of this book's dicipline techniques is that changing a behavior becomes the responsibility of the child."
