"Don Juan in High School: Lord Byron Updated" is a 21st century version of the first canto of Byron's 19th century mock-epic poem "Don Juan" that maintains the humor as well as the liberal social, political, and religious commentary of the original. While Byron turned the infamous womanizer of legend into a sixteen-year-old boy of Seville, more seduced than seducer, this story concerns a sixteen-year-old boy in Hollywood. We find, though two-hundred years separate the two poems, that nothing has really changed.
