This publication was prepared by members of the Gulfport Writer's Workshop. It's a collection of short stories about our best friend - our dog. The Workshop meets every Friday morning from 9:30 until 11:30 in the Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center. We welcome visitors, at no charge, so they can determine if they would like to attend on a regular, or occasional, basis. At the meetings, members read from their work for ten minutes and then receive advice, encouragement, and suggestions from other members. Authors range from first-time writers to published novelists. Some are working on a manuscript, a screenplay, poem, blog, memoir, short story, children's book or other endeavors. We often discuss the process of publishing, editing, formatting and writing techniques. We're a friendly group of individuals and have been meeting for over 30 years. To attend on a regular basis, you must be a member of the Gulfport Senior Center. Membership is free for Gulfport residents and $50 per year for non-residents. Membership entitles you to scores of other activities (most free) such as painting, cards, exercise, cooking, iPhone/iPad instruction, dancing, Tai Chi, Yoga, Bingo, TED talks, meditation, flea market and much more. The Gulfport Writer's Workshop will receive no money from this publication. It has been given to various organizations to sell and all proceeds will go to a non-profit community program. If it is successful, they may produce other similar projects in the future. Thank you for participating. By purchasing this book, you've make a contribution.
