God's Infinite Love & Wisdom

Blake for Reader Views (01/10) In her new book "Do You Love Jehovah?," highly acclaimed, award winning author, Shirley Cheng offers answers to the age old questions: Why am I here? Where am I going? Is there a God? How can I make a difference? Cheng introduces the concept that Jehovah God is the beginning of wisdom, the fulfillment of completeness, and the originator of life. She presents Jesus as Son of God, Messiah, and savior, our life sustainer. In poetic prose Shirley describes the nature of God and the character of Christ with clarity, emotion, and passion. She boldly addresses traditional church doctrine giving her own personal insight and interpretation logically, using a common sense analysis. She includes foundational doctrines for living the spiritual life courageously with determined intention. Because Cheng refutes the arguments of Trinitarians, her interpretation will not be readily acceptable by Evangelical and Catholic theologians. In a concise, yet complete, Bible summary, Cheng covers important events and a review of the important themes of the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation. Cheng goes on to discuss the image of God, the creation of the world, and man's free will. I personally became intrigued with the way she approached each of the Ten Commandments presented in the scriptures to incorporate them into what she named "The Ultimate Life's Manual." The chapter on "How to Study the Bible" was especially practical and helpful. Cheng's answers in the selection of frequently asked questions are provocative, articulate, and informational. Shirley Cheng's writing is motivational and inspirational, infusing the reader with high aspirations for personal accomplishment. In "Do You Love Jehovah?" Cheng introduces practical principles for finding empowerment and self fulfillment. Cheng's writing is a source of direction, purpose, and challenge.

Love and Faith

As I finished reading Shirley Cheng's book I thought of the second chapter in The Song of Solomon. The dedication, the love, the joy and happiness which radiates from Shirley Cheng's writing is so pure, so inspiring, so enchanting that I must compare it to the beauty in The Song of Solomon. It is a beauty of spirit in a woman who does not allow physical difficulties to stop her on the road to ultra-ability. Shirley touches on many things in her book, and through it all her faith in God shines like a beacon, her gratitude for life is wonderful to watch. People unfamiliar with Christianity will find guidance in this book as Shirley takes us through the Bible and refers to Scripture throughout. And for those who already know the Bible Shirley comes as a loving friend pointing out the importance of the commandments that we must love God and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. She teaches us to show gratitude for the life God has given us and to accept what God sends our way and never worry or complain when difficulties meet us. It is a book that will speak to young people and help them find God. She writes: "When you are given life, hold on to it tightly yet delicately; cherish what has been given to you: your privilege to enjoy dawn's first rays, your power to give words of comfort to a stranger, and your fortune in receiving warm embraces after a good cry." Shirley shares with us her fundamental belief in the Bible, her Faith in Jehovah as the one and only true God, and in Jesus, the son of God. She truly acts out her Faith and it has been a joy to read her book.

In Shirley Cheng's book she also shares with you the meaning of happiness and how it is only created when Love is Served. She introduces Armageddon and the Last Days according to Scriptures. She reveals to us the difference between our Life-Giver and our Life-Sustainer. There is so much we think we understand in reference to heaven and hell when we really have no clue. Shirley offers this knowledge freely, out of the goodness in her heart. She asks for nothing in return other than that we too can gain the insights that she has. Jehovah is not about a new shiny car or winning a political election, Jehovah is about eternal love and goodness for all. He wants nothing more for this world that He created than a spiritual balance and harmony. Shirley Cheng's hopes are in passing to her readers an insight to a deeper knowledge of God's Word and Plan and also just maybe answer questions we all have pondered such as these: Have you ever wandered about the bible and its meaning? Do you think we are predestined? Do you value your gift as it was meant to be valued? Is there really a hell or a devil? Who is Satan and his fallen angels? What is the meaning behind the 10 Commandments? Are you prepared to challenged temptation each step of the way? Why is there so much suffering allowed in this world? Why should I follow Jehovah's guidance and not some other religion? Who is really Jesus and what is his purpose ? If Jesus already died for us, then why are we still being told we have a judgment day? Shirley Cheng has overcome her day to day challenges through a heart of love, discipline, understanding and forgiveness. She blames no one nor holds anyone responsible for her many physical challenges. What she does do, is challenge them back through her ability to understand the meaning of God, Life, Love and Accepting the goodness that Life does offer her. Blind to the world we see, yes, but Shirley's insight to the real meaning of God is as clear as the day in which God has created!
