In no way do I wish to imply that I have had more serious or debilitating medical challenges than others have. This is my story, some of it very personal and some of it I have never shared with anyone. My purpose in writing this is simply to put it out there that we can be confronted by many kinds of challenges, yet we can prevail over them and still lead productive lives. While it is important to acknowledge our medical issues, we do not need focus on them or let them define our lives. They happened, sometimes they were hard, but we prevailed.
