Reggie Davis was poor, black, homeless and a drunk. He had been kicked out of his home, divorced by his wife and lost the visitation rights for his daughter. His efforts to once again become a father to his daughter gained him much public support once he is selected to help lead a Black Lives Matter protest parade. The unprovoked attack on the marchers by white supremacists and, later, Reggie's brutal murder, tasks Graniteville Detective Karen Shearer and State Police Detective Martin McBride with trying to untangle the web of possible killers.
