The year is 2020 and Oliver Stanton, a billionaire business man, has amazingly been elected to his second term as President of the United States. His opponents are in disbelief and appalled at the notion of another four years of the divisive leader. His political rivals, having been unable to defeat him at the ballot box, have chosen another path to rid themselves of the controversial populist; namely secession and formation of a new United States. Their leader, Marcus Pilfery, the charismatic progressive Senator from New York, with the aid of a handful of like-minded colleagues, and a persuasive advertising executive, begin an all out blitz to create a breakaway republic by amending the U.S. constitution.
