Terrific intro for complete beginners!

I received this book as a gift along with a Brother knitting machine. I didn't know anything at all about using one. This book takes you step by step with easily understandable phrasing, pictures, and diagrams from setting up your machine to actually making things with it. Within two days I had an actual wearable scarf and had begun to knit fair isle designs on my knitting machine, and I had only gotten partway through Chapter 3! Kandy Diamond teaches beginning machine knitting at the college level. She wrote the book to fill a need for learning materials that aid complete beginners to gain confidence and proficiency. By the time you finish this book you'll be able to use the many functions of your knitting machine to produce beautiful garments and other items that you never dreamed you could.
