From the Back of the Book: The Turkish government officially recognizes Ron Wyatt as the archaeologist who discovered Noah's Ark. The government of Turkey has built a Visitor's Center on the sight and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
When I was 17, I bought this book and found myself captivated by Wyatt's storytelling. The book, of course, covers "his" discovery of a large boat-shaped formation in Turkey's mountainous region which contains Mt. Ararat. Although people have speculated over the object for centuries, Wyatt takes credit for "proving" that it is the remains of Noah's Ark. He used portable sonar equipment on top of it which supposedly revealed an underlying structure. Metal fittings were supposedly recovered. He also gives an interesting explanation for the differences in the recorded dimensions and the measurements taken at the site. Wyatt manages to squeeze in other stories as well: How he figured out how the pyramids were built, his discovering the crossing point where the Red Sea parted and eventually swallowed the Egyptian army, and how he found Judaism's most sacred missing artifact, the Ark of the Covenant, and it's secret role in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Oh, and there's talk of dinosaurs, too. Ron Wyatt is either a wild liar or he's been guided, so he claims, by the hand of God. Either way, it's a fun read.

The material is fascinating (though Wyatt should have asked a professional writers to present it.) Get all Wyatt the material before you decide: the videos and other books. The evidence, too well documented and too voluminous to fake, is astounding. Consider all the evidence and you too may be convinced Wyatt has found Noah's Ark, the ruins of Sodom, the true Mt Sinai and even the Ark of the Covenant. Those who claim Wyatt is a liar have been too quick to accept the lies of others. For example, it has been documented Wyatt DID have official permission to dig in Jerusalem, dispite the Israeli later claims to the contrary.
Excellent Archeology

While critics of Ron Wyatt focus on attacking his person, I would like to comment on the accuracy of his work. Wyatt did have a permit to work in Israel even though some of the Israeli antiquities would deny it. If you will write to the Garden Tomb Association in Israel they will send you a letter confirming the fact that Wyatt dug on their property. In fact, a letter written by scholar William Shea to former Antiquities Director Dan Bahat also confirms the fact that Wyatt did indeed have a permit and did receive instruction from the Israeli antiquities department. These letters have been published. Additionally, unbeknownst to the critics of Wyatt, inside this book, "Discovered:Noah's Ark" is a picture of Wyatt with Bahat! Further, many of Wyatt's claims have been more than substantially confirmed. Wyatt has discovered Mt Sinai (Jebel Al Lawz), and this has been confirmed by Bob Cornuke and Larry Williams. Recently, at his Sodom and Gomorrah sites, ashen pottery have been found as well as pieces of obsidian, which proves that the place endured great heat. These sites are heavily laden with sulphur balls that were encapsulated in crystalline which is additional evidence that these pieces of sulphur were on fire. You can go to these sites and pick up your own sulphur ball, light it on fire, and watch this black crystalline form as the sulphur burns. Eventually the sulphur will snuff itself out in the crystalline/ash combination. Critics seem to be unaware of these finer details, but it's the details that matter. I could labor on and on how this work is excellent, but that would be a spoiler. I highly recommend this book.
Ron Wyatt could be the "real" Indiana Jones. Read this book!

I have read many archeological books on the Biblical themes and none have claimed to have actually found the most famous of these religios artifacts. None, except Ron Wyatt's "Discovered" series. Where is the exact place of where the Jews crossed the Red Sea? Was that place known to the Kings of Israel? Did they commemorate any special monuments at that place? Don't know? Ron Wyatt seems to know! Or what about those religious icons that seem to have disappeared...the lost Ark of the Covenant, Noah's Ark, the Rod of Aaron, etc....Where are they? Ron Wyatt knows!!! Unfortunately, his books are no longer in print!!! What a shame.
