Dirty Squatters is a non fictional, sometimes gaggingly comical story of post-punk squatting life inside Margaret Thatcher's Britain. Set against the backdrop of 80s and 90s London with journey's into the squatting culture in Holland and Germany during that period. A story from the rebellious, pissed off, Generation X, supported by a great and varied music scene, inside London's sweaty, vibrant venues. This was the era of wild nightclubbing, free festivals, and free housing if you could manage a bit of squat carpentry and random plumbing. Many of the Walkman generation lived this way, swapping demo tapes in the mail and arranging gigs in piss stinking, vandalized phone booths, in the years before we had Internet service.
