excellent science narrative

If you haven't really thought about dinosaurs since you were a kid, this book will bring you up to speed, and you'll learn that much of what you thought you knew about dinos wasn't true. One of the best things about this book is that it "introduces" many paleontologists, including some you may have seen on the Science TV Channel, giving you a feel for what their lives are like. Also, there is a map the world with an index of what age of dinosaur fossils have been found. This also makes it a great book to share with a bright child, so they can relate the ancient past to their own lives. 368 pages, many photos and illustrations.
