Dinosaurs have always been fascinating subjects for young children. Bernard Most acknowledges this interest in his latest book Dinosaur Questions as he presents the most-common questions children ask about dinosaurs, as well as the currently known (the theories change, as the book says) answers to these. Straightforward in the presentation of facts, the book does not overwhelm in this regard. However, analogies could have helped make the information more understandable to a young reader, as in the case of a dinosaur's weight. Instead of just saying that one dinosaur weighs 2 tons, it can add that it is equivalent to, say, four school buses. Visually, the book is meant for a young reader, what with simply drawn, colorful, smiling dinosaurs. The over-all feel of the book is for a reader 5 to 8 years of age, except for one thing: the text size and spacing make it a bit challenging for someone who has just started reading. In addition, as young readers tend to read materials that are "special" to them, the last page of the book could have been used to carry the question: "What are YOUR dinosaur questions?"
