The two youths meet when they both see - or believe they see - a dinosaur in the River Lynn. They believe a predator seeks its death. But their beliefs are confounded when a mysterious explosion on the banks of the River Lynn leads visitors to the Folk Festival to suspect that a dangerous new weapon is being tested in the region. Christy and Skye join forces with Christy's best friend Julio to thwart pending disaster at the Elford Folk Festival.
