Digital Modeling of Track Superstructure Components

The monograph is dedicated to the digital modeling of railway track superstructure elements using the finite element method. An analysis of the stress-strain state of rails, sleepers, and the ballast layer under operational loads was performed. Based on simulations in ABAQUS, the stresses, strains, and residual lifetime of the track elements were determined. The results obtained make it possible to predict the durability of structures and to improve the railway track maintenance system.
