People tell me all the time, "Juli, you have such a great story. You should write a book!" And my response is always the same - "You've heard one pretentious trans queer socialist preacher's daughter's tale, you've heard 'em all." I truly believe that, but a few people pushed back, so I went to look up the statistics about pretentious trans queer socialist preacher's daughters who self-publish e-books, and, apparently, there aren't any. Shit. A humorous, poignant mixture of memoir, social commentary, observational essay, rant, and cheesy erotica, this collection is not meant to be coherent autobiography as much as it is word selfies from different moments in the life of my soul. Most of these are concise, able to be read through during one average bowel movement, while a few (such as "Military Sexual Trauma: An Epidemic" or "Transsuicidal") are more appropriate for days when you've got stomach flu or have eaten some bad seafood. However or wherever you like to read, though, I hope you enjoy my mind more than I do.
