Diese Arbeit untersucht Samuel Taylor Coleridges bersetzung von Schillers Wallenstein-Trilogie. Im Fokus steht der Vergleich der englischen bersetzung mit dem deutschen Originaltext, um die translatorischen Entscheidungen und die k nstlerische Interpretation Coleridges zu analysieren.

Die Studie geht der Frage nach, inwieweit Coleridge die spezifischen stilistischen und inhaltlichen Elemente von Schillers Drama in seiner bersetzung bewahrt oder ver ndert hat. Dabei werden sowohl linguistische als auch literaturwissenschaftliche Aspekte ber cksichtigt, um ein umfassendes Bild der bersetzungsleistung Coleridges zu zeichnen. Die Arbeit bietet neue Einblicke in das Verh ltnis zwischen Original und bersetzung sowie in die Rezeption deutscher Literatur im englischsprachigen Raum.
