Double plus good

Please excuse this review from being written in English. However, I have not taken the proper time to master German properly and do not want to come across as sounding stilted. I find this Bible serves two main purposes and several minor ones. First, by reading this version beside an English version, one can see how today’s German is used in context. A second major feat is to be more familiar with the Bible in general. An added plus is that different working environments give different connotations and insights. Just like having “The Complete Parallel BIBLE” from Oxford University Press, ISBN 019528316X, laying this Bible next to it adds the richness of the German language to the translation. One quick comparison: Psalm 88:19 Because of you, companions shun me. My only friend is darkness. Mine Freunde und Nachbarn hast du mir entfremdet; Mein einziger Begleiter ist die Finsternis.
