DICTATOR is a fiction story of approximately 56000 words based partly on true events which occurred in Guyana. The names and characters are fictitious except where the writer reincarnated Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham (as Dictator) to deliver the true revolutionaries he created in his story. This manuscript tells a major part of the African Guyanese side of the story from the point of view of a writer who is African Guyanese, and one who sincerely believes that this book would be an inspiration for any leader who aspires to deliver African Guyanese from their tribulations. The manuscript begins by hinting that African Guyanese were forewarned of a leader who would come and trample African Guyanese in the interest of his own ethnicity and self- aggrandizement. Then it summarizes the evils multiplied in the land due to the unrighteousness of the leadership. This leads to a coup which brings the Dictator to power in the spirit of Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham-former President of Guyana.Next, the writer proceeds to address the weaknesses in his people by use of methods of religious and secular re-education. At this stage, conflict manifests between the African Guyanese who respond positively and those who do not; between the rich and wealthy who feel imminent threat, and the have-nots; between the developed world and the new government (Dictator)... All of which lead to drastic attempts to remove the Dictator; and his counter-moves which necessitated separation.Throughout the story the Dictator was surrounded with outstanding (male and female) characters who, like him, were regarded as heroes of the revolution. Lastly, Mr. Lewis chose to give a happy ending to the story, because he sincerely believes the means he dictated can lead to such an end.
