The Diaphonetic Dictionary of Coptic (DiDiCo) is dedicated to scholars and enthusiasts engaged in the study of Coptic, Egyptian historical linguistics. Besides presenting translations and definitions, the dictionary distinguishes itself through three principal innovations. First, it documents different pronunciations of each lemma across the major Coptic dialects: Sahidic, Bohairic, Akhmimic, Lycopolitan, Fayyumic, and Mesokemic, providing both synchronic dialectal forms and diachronic connections to earlier stages of Egyptian.
