Not Safe for Diabetics — Misleading and Potentially Harmful

I bought this expecting actual diabetic-friendly slow-cooker recipes. Instead, it’s full of ingredients that are guaranteed to spike blood sugar for most diabetics: potatoes (in multiple recipes), whole-grain pasta, and other high-glycemic carbs. These recipes were clearly not tested on real diabetics or people who actually track glucose. Slow cooking makes starchy foods even faster to digest, which increases the spike. Rebranding normal high-carb recipes as “diabetic” is not just lazy — it’s dangerous for people trying to manage glucose. If you’re a diabetic who actually monitors your blood sugar, this book is useless. Save your time and money.
