Matt King looks for clues as people mysteriously disappear near the sleepy town of Wolf Creek. But as the snowless cold continues to grip his town things begin to take a turn for the worse. Dogs and livestock are butchered and left headless. Then a drug dealer is savaged in the middle of town and Matt must find out who or what is responsible for the killing. His search leads him deep into the nearby forest known as the Wintar Woods, where he finds strange symbols carved into stone and also a shocking collection of trophies. Matt learns that believing is seeing and he can't believe what has been hidden in his little town.
