Development of a Tourist GISWEB for Bueno Brandão/MG

The Bueno Brand o Hydromineral Health Resort is located in the extreme south of the state of Minas Gerais, near the border with the state of S o Paulo, in the Mantiqueira Mountains. The city is known for the natural beauty of its many waterfalls, 33 of which are catalogued by the City Hall, but it is estimated that there are more than 60 in total. Due to this fact, the term "The City of Waterfalls" has become popular. Bueno Brand o has enormous tourist potential, because in addition to the waterfalls, it has an extensive area covered by various natural and cultural attractions, such as peaks and viewpoints, inns, chalets, distilleries, and Minas Gerais cuisine. However, when it comes to the location of these attractions, there is a significant lack of information, as most of the material available consists of printed maps, which are merely illustrative. Thus, the objective of this study was to develop a Web GIS to facilitate access to and location of attractions in the municipality of Bueno Brand o, Minas Gerais.
