The maximum drug delivery systems available in the market are oral drug delivery systems. Oral drug delivery systems are generally considered ideal drug delivery system if it possesses the following two main properties: a) It should be in a single dose for prolonging action.

b) It should deliver the active drug directly to the target site. Unfortunately, such ideal systems are not available. Thus scientists try to develop systems that can be as close to an ideal system as possible
