Another amazing example of watercolor paintings!

Having recently "discovered" David Bellamy's books, I have collected 5 of them with the 6th on the way. Most watercolor artists have skies in their landscapes just to fill the top of the paper. It is a pale wet area to drop in misty trees and give a little depth to their work. It neither compliments nor detracts from the painting. We work in a few gray clouds. An occasional sunset is reflected off of the water. Not David, he skillfully uses dramatic skies to accent and draw attention to his center of focus. He has traveled extensively, but lived in England, so he has a lot of experience with misty fog, stormy weather, and the sun shining through the clouds. His mountains are climbable. His icebergs IMMENSE ! The book has several demonstrations and exercises for you to do on your own. He encourages improving your drawing skills, giving tips on how to improve your skills every step of the way. I do not consider this a beginning book on watercolor. You need a basic grasp of putting brush to paper, but if you follow his instructions, you will see an improvement is your labors of love. You won't be sorry you bought it. You will want to collect them all just like I do. (Be careful! Several of his books have multiple covers for the same book.)
