The first part of this paper discusses motivation in general and explains how it can be enhanced. To this end, various types of motivation are outlined. The second part describes and reflects on a music camp organised specifically for pan-flute students. Finally, observations regarding changes in motivation during and after the pan-flute camp are presented.
