At the end of Desperate Maneuvers , Jilly Rasmussen had joined her boyfriend Robin --who had just murdered Jilly's husband at her request--on his mission to kill men who abuse women. Her supporters, calling themselves Jilly-GOATS--because they see Jilly as the greatest of all time when it comes to addressing the issue of abusive men and actually doing something about it rather than doing nothing like the police--have begun to make her a hero increasingly seen as dangerous to the right-wing. A politician aligned with the MAGA movement works behind the scenes to help foster an anti-Jilly movement calling themselves Jilly-Fish. They take this name because they insist that her claims to be a serial killer of very bad man is a myth constructed on a pack of unproven lies and the little 100-pound former prostitute is simply not capable of the violent acts to which she proudly lays claim. Flashbacks to the evolution of Jilly becoming an equal killer to her mentor, Robin, are interspersed with a first-person account taken from interviews in which Jilly describes the means by which she became the efficient killer who has become a hero to some and a threat to others. Oddly, perhaps, the focus of these recollections is not just her abusive relationship with Iggy, the husband who broke her nose and forced her into prostitution. Jilly's tale begins with an equally horrific relationship with a slightly older foster sister who forced her into a demented lesbian relationship. Later, after Jilly becomes a hero, two Jilly-GOATS who also happened to live in that very same house will take out long-delayed retribution. This retribution has become a nation-wide movement. Thousands of men across the country are being murdered by unknown assailants. The only thing which ties these murders together is that all the men were abusive animals.. Jilly and Robin remain utterly confident of their acquittal for killing _____ ____ despite proudly confessing it and so the entire nation is riveted as Jilly finally takes the stand to testify in her own defense. What she says will shock a packed courtroom and alter the course of the country forever.
