Giovanni D'Angelo is the childhood best friend of Enzo Marinelli, rising doctor in California, and the second oldest of the Marinelli friend squad. While in Italy still, he helped him escape his abusive father for a bit and was glad that Enzo managed to get out of the country. Soon, he was leaving Italy as well and reunited with his best friend in Palm Springs, California. During middle and high school, Giovanni was by Enzo's side and supporting him. In university, they had their world turned upside down by a relationship between a friend of theirs and a friend of Enzo's rival, Alexander Schmidt. What followed after that was what made Giovanni's world even more unbalanced. Suddenly, he was with his middle school crush everyday and Giovanni doesn't know what to do. All while balancing a new normal and trying not to murder his sister, who can't seem to get the memo that she's too old for Nick.

Nicholas Struff, childhood best friend and right hand man for Alexander Schmidt, is the man that always stays by his friends sides. He is the protector of the Schmidt crew and doesn't hesitates to go after what he wants, including sleeping around the university campus. When he is forced to be friends with Giovanni, he starts flirting with him in hopes that the friend squad split into two again. But it becomes a worse nightmare when he starts falling for the Italian. It's made worse when he suddenly had to protect not just Alex but Giovanni as well. All while trying to do online classes for a new degree and raise his little sister during a dark time.

What will become of these rivals? Will it be a fairytale and happily ever after? Or is this going to cause the downfall of the Marinelli-Schmidt alliance and their lives? How will their future careers pan out with all this drama?
