Large and small companies alike are following the global trend towards energy efficiency. This book presents an assessment of a plant's energy billing, taking into account the load factor (fc) and the power factor (fp). When the power factor is low, problems can arise in the consumer's electrical installation and in the utility's distribution network. This has financial consequences for the consumer, as well as wasting energy and causing environmental damage. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate the electricity efficiency of a sugar and alcohol plant. In this way, we can graphically show the company's situation and analyse whether there is a need to change the company's system in order to optimise its billing. This study can be used as a basis for evaluating the correct use of energy for various branches of activity.
