Description of the IFRS implementation process for SMEs in the agricultural sector

At the beginning of a research, it is important to carry out a previous investigation of the field in which it is intended to work, therefore, it is necessary to analyse and outline the background of the problem that will provide help for the solution of the research problem. The following work aims to describe the IFRS implementation process in a company of the Agricultural sector of Valle del Cauca, where different shortcomings were identified in the definition of accounting policies, high implementation costs and few qualified personnel to carry out the process. The Company's management does not authorise the disclosure of its corporate name for this academic purpose. Initially, we will find the research background that served as conceptual input to solve the research problem, which allowed a formulation and systematisation of the research problem, evidencing the need to describe the implementation process and its different problems in the start-up.
