This is a revised edition of a book I previously published on depth of field and hyperfocal distance. This new edition is nearly identical to the previous version, but I think is more clearly expressed than before. In this book, I review some of the common depth of field methods you will find in the literature, However, hyperfocal distance is the major topic I discuss. I believe the use of hyperfocal distance for depth of field measurements is not a well-understood procedure for many photographers. To lower this concern, I developed a new hyperfocal distance table that is easier to understand and use than previous literature tables. I also provide information on how to estimate subject distance, which can be a major problem for depth of field measurements.
