My Father inspired me to buy this book .

I got this book because my Dad grew up in the 1930's depression era . He told me lots of stories of those days , and what they did to survive hard times. Can't wait to try it ! 😊

Love it, lent it, lost it, buying it again!

Not only does this have some great old timey recipes which include coon and possum, it also has genuine cool stuff. Recipes that I remember eating as a child, great stuff!

Some basics, and some off the wall stuff

I love old recipes, basic ways to make basic foods, and this book is full of them. It also contains recipes for raccoon and squirrel. Not quite so basic. It's really fun to take a look back and see how creative people were in order to make do with what they had. I love this book and look forward to trying out a few new recipes. I'm excited for this addition my cookbook collection.
