Demonetization in India was a hot subject across the world since 8th November 2016, inviting global attention. It was a unique bold experiment while India was highlighted as the fastest growing economy. The all-encompassing move touched the entire 1.3 billion population to their core. Wide protests and discussions were followed even by Nobel laureates. International attention amassed on grass root ground realities perceived in India. Though the initial propagated target was defacing of fake currency and unearthing of black money, the country moves far towards a cashless digital economy.
