Democratic Security Policy in the Social State under the Rule of Law: A political, constitutional and historical analysis of the Defense Policy in the Colombian Social State under the Rule of Law
Analysis of the Defense and Democratic Security Policy (hereinafter referred to as PDSD) from 2002 to 2010, establishing its origin, ideological content and application with respect to public order and peaceful coexistence, specifying the existing correlation and the degree of adequacy with respect to the legal-constitutional elements of the Social State of Law (hereinafter referred to as ESD). Prior to the implementation, validity and continuity of the PDSD, despite the approval of an important sector of the Colombian population, serious doubts arose regarding its character, configuration, effectiveness and the results obtained in terms of human rights protection, generating a debate around extrajudicial executions, forced displacement, forced disappearance, torture, massacres, among others; All of which leads us to question whether the PDSD really corresponds to the ESD model established in the 1991 Political Constitution.
