Delusional

We went from drinking to kissing as if madly in love on our way up to his room. As we entered, I yelled in my head at myself to leave, I knew it was wrong, but it felt so right. I was taken away from everything that made me feel numb and Jake made me feel whole again. As we rustled in the sheets, I knew there was no going back, so I just cleared my mind and embraced the moment.

I woke up abruptly the next morning, thinking I had a crazy dream. I knew I wouldn't ever do anything like that, until I looked over and saw Jake lying next to me in the bed sleep. I felt deep regret. I couldn't believe what I had done.

I went to my room, called my boss and told him I had an emergency back home and needed to cut the conference short. He booked a flight for me right away.

I took a cab home and noticed Mikes' car in the driveway. I panicked at first, because I didn't feel like I was up to facing him just yet. As I got closer to our room, I heard muffled voices. Again, I panicked. He is home OMG, what am I going to do? He is going to see it all over my face I opened the door ready to face him and to my surprise.
